borat in hot water!

i know i've been slack on posting the tokyo write up... but before i get to that, here's a little more silliness. looks like kazakhstan might sue borat.

hard gay!

ok, so i know boingboing's already posted about razor ramon, aka hard gay, but i just got back from a week in japan and i have some updates. on of the partners i was visiting was in the tokyo broadcast system's offices and their lobby gift shop was chock full of hard gay paraphernalia. i had some japanese pals explain exactly what was the story with hard gay and they explained that he's a japanese superhero comedian. apparently it's becoming a big problem with japanese parents that their kids are so into hard gay and so into mimicking his signature moves. to see what i mean and for more information on hard gay, i invite you to watch these extremely hilarious links.

konichiwa bitches!

greetings from tokyo. i have a whole bunch of stories so far... from porn on the train to drinking w/ kiwi rugby players in roppongi to bargain hunting for electronics in akiharaba to the amazing meiji temple shrine and garden in harajuku. i'm jet lagging and lazy so i'll have to flesh this out soon. i also need to get my ass back to akihabara and pick up a card reader for my camera.

sign of the day: fashion + wig = happy style

ritual zombie coffee

so my pal oliver of oof.org fame took me to his favorite coffeeshop in san francisco last week. now mind you, favorite coffeeshops are important. his favorite was ritual in the mission. on halloween the workers there all dressed up like zombies. bask in the flickring glow. it warms the heart really.
