so much is wrong with the gates... misbilling, bloomburg hookups, olympic tie-ins... fugly orange... grrr!

the gates

i'll try to keep the vitriol to a minimum, but let's just say i was completely underwhelmed by christo's new installation in central park, the gates. it looks like a bunch of safety orange construction gear. lame. nice seeing all the new yorkers in the park though. for more fun, go read about the actual cost of the gates... $20 million my ass.

on a lighter note, go see the awesome tim hawkinson show at the whitney - you';; be glad you did.
