sloganator memorial

so the bush cheney o4 site put up a "make your own campaign poster" app. funny people found it and started posting decidedly anti-bush messages... all paid for by the bush cheney campaign. the app got yanked, but the memories live on. (note - it's flash)

daschle says something...

that almost makes up for him being so namby-pamby these last few years... here's his text on our government's efforts to silence its critics. thanks for the link lamont.

hmm... democrats.senate.gov... i wonder if they ever reset the security on that box or if you can still administer it w/ a default login...

fashion show

ah new york, new york - it's a helluva town. last night was my friendster mia's big fashion show at the crobar (formerly twilo). my very dear pal pinky was one of the models and looked every bit as modelly as the pros up on stage. the night also featured an open bar, a sexy band, and eventually a dance floor full of gyrating b-boys and their admiring fan girls. then crif dog... for the love of god.

ok. so the pictures aren't that hot... but that's a treo camera for ya...

hoopy frood

i just found out about towel day... a day to honor the memory of douglas adams. i met mr. adams back in 96 and found him to be extremely friendly and truly open. i've always loved his books and miss him dearly to this day.

mozilla palm sync scare

hi gang. as you well might know, i got a treo600 recently. today i spent a long time entering all of the numbers from my old phone into my mozilla address book... only to find that mozilla doesn't sync w/ palm!? holy crap! the palm conduit for 1.5 is broken... and is non-existant in 1.6! aieee!!! luckily, they once again include the palm conduit with the mozilla 1.7beta. after a little futzing, it works. whew! now i (might) never have to go through an afternoon like this one again... yeah right...

more zombie humor

i just can't get enough zombies this week. i finally saw 28 days later last night... good flick! my pal gus just showed me this hilarious link.

also, did you know that you can download the original "night of the living dead"? the copyright has expired so you can grab it free and legal. nice.

small pete

so i hit 165lbs today... that's 30lbs down from my starting point in three months. i'm kinda stoked. i've gone from a 38 down to a 32. my personal trainer is bummed that we didn't take before pictures. sigh.

i'd go have a beer to celebrate, but i'm still on antibiotics for this !@#$ing bronchitis. so sick of this cold... bleah.

hoohaw

yeah. what a week. i was in d.c. for meetings earlier this week and as a result of being run down, i've spent the last few days at home sick. isn't that amazing?! i'm so glad the internet is here to keep you aprised of my health and boredom levels. it's still snowy here. i'm not guessing that i'm installing that new air conditioner anytime soon...

case of the mondays

wow. i'm in d.c. today and i got next to no sleep last night. i have a hacking cough and a stuffy nose... yet i feel great. it's wacky here in d.c. today. i'm on my weekly sales call and the mall i'm sitting in is packed with high school business conference attendees eating pizza in their sportscoats and suits. i've got a full day of running around today before i drive back to new york... but on my way home i'll be grabbing an air conditioner - woohoo! it's going to get hot in new york soon. i need to get ready.

slacker or travelpro?

hi kiddies. i've been beating myself off... uh i mean beating myself up for not adding much in the way of entries lately... but then i took a second to reflect on just how much travel i've been doing and i don't feel bad about it at all. i got back from san francisco late last night where i had a rigorous few days of meetings and more than ample celebrations with my pals. this weekend gus is in town and the weather finally looks like it's warming up. good thing i'll be home for an entire week to enjoy it this time. whew!
